We are fortunate to be located in Northern Ontario, meaning that seasonal changes give our visitors spectacular views across the lake - no matter what time of year they drop by.
Wildgoose Lake is surrounded by forest teeming with wildlife, including moose and black bears, while the lake itself is the perfect destination for the avid fisherman wanting to land a catch whilst on vacation. Meanwhile, our site offers a variety of activities for all ages, including berry picking, boating and seasonal hunting opportunities – however, if kicking back and working up a tan is desired, a beach measuring over 500 feet in length is a picturesque setting to do just that, with the only soundtrack being the clear waters of Wildgoose Lake lapping the shore. Our nearest town is Geraldton, which offers campers the chance to work in a little retail therapy, pick up provisions and even fit in a round of golf on the 18 hole course, if that appeals.
"Friendly. Clean & efficient washrooms. Laundromat was a pleasant surprise. Beautiful lake. Great for fishermen. Sites right on the lake."
Hot Tips for Happy Campers
Many people are now choosing to take up camping as a hobby thanks to the advent of RVs, as they provide a little more luxury and comfort than the traditional tent. However, we recommend following a few guidelines in order to make the most of your motor home.
- Pack light – We have on-site laundry facilities and stores within easy reach, so packing a full week’s worth of clothing and food is not necessary. While RVs provide more storage space than tents do, trying to fit in your entire wardrobe is a little optimistic!
- Choose a good insurance policy – While we have an RV to rent out, many of our guests choose to bring their own to take advantage of our 40 level sites with full hook ups. If this is your intention, ensuring you are aware exactly what your RV insurance will cover is vital in case of an accident – read the small print and know your rights as a consumer before leaving home.
